2016 - USA - NYC Pt 3
October 22, 2016May, 2016.
This is my third trip this year into NYC. The reason for this one was because my dear friend Claudia from the UK was visiting NYC this year. She was actually one of the first few people I met when I went to NYC for the first time as an adult and on my own back in 2013. This was also another one of my 36 hour NYC missions, which went something like this:
When I arrived, I first linked up Joanne, and we headed out to Brooklyn to meet up with my friend Claudia. Joanne asked me what Claudia was like, to which I replied, “a slightly taller, white version of you, with the same taste in music.” She nervously laughed, unsure of what shenanigans I was going to bring her into. We linked up somewhere in Brooklyn with both Claudia and her hostel mate Tommy, and we walked around the area, sampling whatever gentrification had to offer.
We hit one of most common apartment buildings for that iconic Brooklyn/Manhattan shot. By this time I was sunburnt as sin on a cloudy day, both Joanne and Claudia had sweat through their clothes, and we had successfully duct taped Tommy’s shoes into a modern art masterpiece.
Later that night we went to go do some fried chicken and smoke bombs.
I didn’t take many photos on the last day. Tommy had bid adieu because he had to catch his flight back to Texas (Austin?) and Joanne had to go to work, so me and Claudia just a long stroll through Brooklyn in the intense heat as well as tacos for dinner with Joanne.
We bid adieu somewhere in Nolita, and I went to go catch my greasy bus ride home while the rest of them stayed gallivanting in paradise.
Next up, a collection of random narratives in Toronto.
